Naomi Tamanuki
TMP Administration Leader
Introduction: Naomi Tamanuki joined the TMP staff team in December 2024 as head of General Administration. But even before that, she has been helping out with the children’s work at Marunouchi Church Tokyo (MCT), since the church began its monthly meeting in the Spring of 2023.
A year and a half has passed since I started volunteering with the Children’s Ministry at MCT. At first, the children’s faces were nervous, but gradually we began to see smiles appear. Over this year and a half the babies have grown up so fast that they can now walk and talk, and I realized how wonderful God’s creatures are. The primary school age children are happily telling us about the events of their daily lives, and the middle school age children are enjoying learning from the Bible.
The children especially look forward to the craft time, which is designed to help them understand some of the Bible-related topics through making crafts, and even through the occasional science experiment! We were able to make an active cloud in a bottle to illustrate the cloud hiding Jesus from his disciples as he was taken up to heaven at his ascension. The children loved it and each took their own cloud-maker home, and I heard stories of them playing with these for weeks. I hope to help the children’s ministry in any way I can, so that the time is fun for the children, and so the parents can spend time with the Bible and the Lord. We pray for the continued healthy growth of our children.
